The
Fitness Boot Camp course is a 4-week program that meets 3 times per week. Each
meeting is for 1 hour and we cover every fitness component from cardio endurance,
strengthening, agility, balance and flexibility. They
are called “Boot Camps” primarily because it is an outdoor fitness program. Your
drill instructor controls the group and dictates your activity. You will be pushed
to ‘Your Limits’ in all the activities. All of the activities will be set up on
a time system. You keep working until your drill instructor blows his whistle
and yells stop. The groups learn to work as a team and help each other
out through the fitness course. We want all recruits to encourage each other as
they push through those final seconds of each drill. You will build a nice sense
of camaraderie with your boot camp peers that will help
you make it to the next session. The camp will run if there is rain!
This means recruits should be equipped with a raincoat or a poncho for rainy days.
Recruits should also bring a mat or a towel for floor exercises or be tough and
get a little dirty. You will also want to bring a water bottle to keep you hydrated.
We are out doors, so you may encounter a visit from some bugs flying around so
spray if you’re sweet and attract them little mosquitoes.
The
current Boot Camp times are from 5:30 am to 6:30 am M-W-F in North McAllen and
from 7 pm to 8 pm M-W-F in N. McAllen. We are looking at starting more camp times
and more locations, so please call or email us with your suggestion. We want to
have a camp running from the McAllen area all the way to the South Padre Island
so call us if you want one in your city or with your organization. Look at our
calendar for upcoming camps and events If
